Conventional wisdom says "there's nothing funny about diabetes" however we made the observation that diabetics are human beings too and that a bit of humor is just the right spoonful that helps the medicine go down with the diabetes community who needed to feel human and to feel heard. So, we created Mr. Groove who with a smile and some smooth moves takes on his condition to find his groove. This led to the insight that just as with any tribe, diabetics are more comfortable talking with their own kind, which led us to create the Diabetes Network, A1cTV, community television for the diabetes community, by the diabetes community. With several different show formats from a talk show to cooking show and of course everyone's favorite, an exercise show, onto scripted. Individual episodes are available on my Vimeo site. Lantus
As a part of the DCV Village we have all of the Sanofi Diabetes franchise, and a very significant part of that portfolio remains, Lantus. So, even though the brand had gone off patent we didn't want the world's leading insulin brand to go too far from our patients minds and off course their pocketbooks, and thus we created this charming little co-pay spot to remind everyone how "you should dance with the one that brung ya". Awards & Press: Increased sales and the client decided to re-invest is this old workhorse.
